Electric golf trolley servicing and repairs
Keep your trolley running like new. We service and repair electric golf trolleys of all makes at our Ringwood store, and we can keep you on the course with a hire trolley while yours is in.
Full service
£50
Strip-down clean, motor and gearbox check, battery health test and charge, wheel bearings and clutches, tyre check, handle and electronics test, frame and fold inspection, lubrication and a full test run. Any parts needed are quoted before we fit them.
Repairs
- Wheels — bearings, clutches, tyres and axles, including worn or slipping rear wheels
- Frame — fold mechanisms, locking catches, handle and bag-support repairs, replacement parts
- Batteries — health testing, connector and charger faults, replacement lithium batteries fitted and set up
- Plus motors, control boxes, speed dials, screens and remote handsets — ask us
Repairs are quoted after a free diagnosis. If we don't think a repair is worth doing, we'll say so — and you can trade the trolley in against a new one instead.

How it works
- Book — send the form (or just call in). We'll confirm a drop-off date, usually within a few days.
- Diagnose — a full service is £50 flat. For repairs we diagnose free and send you a quote before any work.
- Collect & play — most services are turned round in 2–3 working days. Need a trolley meanwhile? Hire one from £20 a day.
Brands we work on
Motocaddy and Powerbug (the brands we sell), plus PowaKaddy, Stewart Golf, Big Max and most other electric trolleys. Genuine parts for Motocaddy; good-quality compatible parts where the manufacturer no longer supplies them.
Warranty work on a trolley bought from us is handled with the manufacturer at no charge to you.
Servicing questions
How often should an electric trolley be serviced?
Once a year for a regular golfer, ideally over the winter so it's ready for spring. Wet autumn rounds are hard on bearings and clutches.
How long does a service take?
Usually 2–3 working days from drop-off. Repairs that need parts ordered take longer; we'll give you a date when we quote.
Can you replace my lithium battery?
Yes. We test the existing battery first — a weak charger or connector is often the real problem. If it does need replacing we fit a genuine or compatible lithium battery and set it up with the trolley.
Do you repair trolleys you didn't sell?
Yes — any make. Bring it to the Ringwood store or ask about collection.
What if the repair isn't worth it?
We'll tell you honestly. You can trade the old trolley in against a new one; see our trade-in page.
