Remote control

Remote control golf trolleys

A remote control trolley does something no push-button model can: it goes where you send it. Drive it ahead to the next tee while you hole out, steer it round the edge of a bunker rather than through the damp, or bring it to you across the green — all from a handset in your pocket. It's the closest walking golf gets to having a caddie.

How remote trolleys work

Motocaddy's remote models use a rechargeable handset with forward, reverse and left/right steering, and a range comfortably past 100 metres. Twin motors and Adaptive Terrain Stability keep the trolley tracking straight across cambers and slopes, and Automatic Downhill Control brakes it on descents. Every model also runs a dual control mode — you can drive it manually by the handle whenever you'd rather, so you're never dependent on the remote. There's an emergency stop on the handset too.

The one trade-off is weight: the second motor and remote gear put the remote models around 14–15 kg, against roughly 10 kg for a push-button trolley. If you'll use the remote, it's a price worth paying; if you're not sure you will, a lighter model may suit you better.
