The S1 DHC takes the best-selling S1 and adds the one upgrade that matters most on an undulating course: Automatic Downhill Control. On any descent, the trolley brakes itself to a steady walking pace rather than gathering speed ahead of you — and an electronic parking brake holds it firm when you stop. If your course has real gradient, this is the feature you’ll notice on every hole.
Beyond the downhill braking, you get the complete S1 toolkit: an LCD widescreen display, nine speed settings, and 45-yard Adjustable Distance Control to send the trolley ahead to your ball. All-terrain tyres give it grip across wet and uneven ground, and it still folds down in one step for the boot. It runs the same lightweight lithium battery as the rest of the range, quick to charge and easy to lift, and this 2025 edition buys the package at previous-season value.
This is the model we’d point most golfers to first. If you play anywhere with hills, the DHC braking is worth every penny over the standard S1. If your course is flat and you’d never use downhill control, the standard S1 saves you a little. And if you want GPS or remote control built in, look to the M5 GPS or the remote models.
If your course has any real gradient, yes — the automatic downhill braking and parking brake make a noticeable difference on descents. On a flat course, the standard S1 is enough.
That’s exactly what the DHC version is built for; the Downhill Control keeps it to a controlled pace downhill and the all-terrain tyres grip wet slopes.
It folds in one step to a compact size; if space is really tight, the Motocaddy M1 folds smaller.
The lithium battery is rated to complete a full 18-hole round on a single charge — or choose the Ultra version for 36-hole days.
