The M5 GPS put full, integrated GPS on a trolley handle — a 3.5″ LCD touchscreen with more than 40,000 courses pre-loaded, front/middle/back green distances, hazard information and full-hole mapping with a movable target, updated over Wi-Fi. This 2025 edition delivers that screen and that data at a meaningful saving against the current season, which makes it the cheapest way in the range to stop carrying a separate GPS device.
You drive the M5 GPS the normal way — speed dial and 60-yard Adjustable Distance Control — so it stays around 10.5 kg, far lighter than the remote models. Performance tracking and Bluetooth notifications ride along on the screen, and the lithium CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT battery covers a full round per charge.
Golfers who’d otherwise buy a standalone GPS unit or watch: here it’s built in, on a bigger screen, with nothing extra to charge. If you play a hilly course, the current-season M5 GPS DHC adds automatic downhill braking. If you already own a rangefinder you love, a non-GPS model like the S1 DHC saves real money. As pure GPS-per-pound, though, this 2025 model is the pick of the range.
The core GPS package — touchscreen, 40,000 courses, mapping and distances — is the M5 formula. The 2025 edition is about the saving, not missing headline features.
With over 40,000 courses pre-loaded worldwide and Wi-Fi updates, UK courses are very well covered.
Not this version — for automatic descent control choose an M5 GPS DHC model.
Most golfers find the on-handle front/middle/back distances and hole maps cover what they need; a rangefinder can happily coexist for exact flag numbers.
