The SE, with headroom

This is the SE for golfers who play more than 18 at a time. The trolley itself is identical to the standard SE — one of the lightest models in the range, one-step fold, whisper-quiet 28V/230W drive, Pause & Resume and ambidextrous controls — but the CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT battery is the extended-capacity Ultra lithium, so a 36-hole day or a long, wet slog into the wind never becomes a battery calculation.

Why choose the Ultra battery

The standard battery completes 18 holes comfortably. The Ultra is for everything beyond that: society days, 27-hole afternoons, holiday golf where you charge less often, or simply the reassurance of finishing every round with capacity to spare. Batteries are the heart of an electric trolley, and both versions carry Motocaddy’s 60-month battery warranty — the longest-lived component decision you’ll make on this purchase.

Who it’s for

Golfers who want the simplest, lightest trolley in the range but won’t be held to a single round per charge. There is still no screen or distance control here — if you want those, the S1 Ultra adds them for a modest step up, and the M1 Ultra adds the compact fold. For everyone else: this is the entry model done properly, with the big battery.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between the SE and SE Ultra?

The trolley is the same — the Ultra version carries the extended-capacity lithium battery, suited to 36-hole days and longer sessions between charges.

Do I need the Ultra battery?

If you only ever play 18 and charge between rounds, the standard SE is enough. Choose the Ultra if you play long days or want charge in reserve.

How heavy is it?

The SE platform is one of the lightest in the range at roughly 9 kg — the Ultra battery adds only a small amount to that.

What warranty does it carry?

24 months on the trolley and 60 months on the lithium battery.
